According to WDTV, a 50-year-old man was killed in a UTV crash in Nicholas County early Monday morning.
Steven Parsons, 50, of Mt. Nebo, died due to injuries sustained in the accident that occurred on Old Nicholas Road in Mt. Nebo at approximately 12:32 a.m., according to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department.
Dawnett Bowman, 63, was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.
Deputies said the UTV was traveling west on Old Nicholas Road when it left the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the two men to be ejected.
Both men were transported to Summersville Regional Medical Center, where Parsons succumbed to his injuries. Bowman remains in the hospital.
The sheriff’s department says the incident is still under investigation.
