State Police Joins Sheriff’s Office in Region to Handle Investigation Labeled as a “Suspicious Death”

WBOY reported that deputies in Ritchie County have confirmed they’re investigating a “suspicious death” that was reported and found Monday.

According to the Ritchie County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, Aug. 3, at about 8:35 a.m., deputies responded to the 5000 block of WV 47/Staunton Turnpike for a report of a suspicious death.

Deputies arrived on the scene alongside members of the West Virginia State Police and began an investigation.
