The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in Ensley that occurred on Saturday.
According to Birmingham Police Department Sgt. LaQuitta Wade, West Precinct officers were dispatched at approximately 12:40 p.m. because of a ShotSpotter notification in the 1000 block of 47th Street Ensley. While en route, officers were also notified of a single-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of 47th Street Ensley.
