Jeffrey Oneal Jett, 74, of Limestone Road, Clarksburg, came to the end of his road on July 30, 2026, after a battle with cancer. He was the only child of the late Hobert “Red” and Bernice Josephine “Jo” Gain Jett of Doddridge County.
Jeff was truly a businessman. He was the owner and operator of Gas Transport, Inc. When he had to leave, it must be noted that anyone who knew Jeff had to know about Tink. They are together now because Tink passed away right before Jeff. There was a binding love between those two that couldn’t be broken.
On December 28, 1985, he married Linda Myers Jett. They were married for 35 years. Linda passed away on March 30, 2020. While she was in the hospital, Jeff would always take her food and feed her when she couldn’t feed herself. Jeff was so considerate toward her needs, and he always had something funny to tell when he got in from a run. He was a very special man to us, and we will always miss him.
Jeff is survived by his son, Jason Jett of Buckhannon; sister-in-law, Carolyn Myers of Clarksburg; two nephews, Christopher Myers of Bridgeport, and Johnathan (Harley) Slattman and their son, Stetson, of Good Hope; and one niece, Becca (Orville) Ayers and their daughter, Scarlett, of Fayette County.
In addition to his father and mother, Tink, and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna. Also preceding him in death were his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren “Jeep” and Beulah Myers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Becky Myers; and a nephew, Rob Myers.
Jeff had a lady help him get organized after Linda died, Sabrina Ridenour. He hated to hear of her being so sick, and when she had to quit work, up until he got sick, he always asked how she was getting along. He really liked her.
Jeff had many friends but considered Dustin and Michelle Lowdermilk and Kiersten Lough, who he considered a special part of his family. The caregiver, MacKenzie Fittro, and the Hospice nurse aide, Jessica Napper, who were very special to him. All were greatly appreciated.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with Reverend Patty “Sissy” Hebb Officiating. Interment will follow at Good Hope Masonic Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com. Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jett family.
