It has been a mainstay on television since 1999, appearing in cities across the country as well as in multiple venues internationally. And since 2016, it has been shown live to a global audience.


 

For the first time in 27 years, that mainstay is coming to West Virginia. Recently, the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center announced that it will be host to one of two WWE flagship shows – SmackDown.


 


The professional wrestling show will be appearing on its regular day of the week, Friday. The show is set for the night before Halloween, Friday, Oct. 30.


 


Showtime will begin at 7:30 p.m.


 


Some of the biggest names in sports entertainment are expected to appear on the show. Although the card is subject to change, those slated to be in action include current undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, current United States Champion Trick Williams, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Gunther, and many more. 


 


It should be noted, as listed above, that the matches from Charleston will be televised to a live global audience. The show in Charleston will be seen by more than 1 million viewers.


 


The show goes live on the USA Network at 8 p.m.
