The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has not yet released any further details about the case. According to newspaper El País, the severity of the illness among those affected, the number of eggs recalled, and the areas where they were distributed have also not been made public.
Far-right Vox leader lashes out at Sánchez during visit to Ceuta on Spain’s National Day
The leader of the far right Vox party, Santiago Abascal accused Pedro Sánchez of allowing a mass influx of migrants into Cueta that he maintains, was “sponsored by Morocco”.
After visiting the border facilities at the port of Ceuta on Spain’s National Day, October 12th, he demanded the militarisation of the border with Morocco and the expulsion of all immigrants who entered irregularly during the migration crisis at the end of July.
“This is a government that hates Spain and, therefore, leaves Spaniards unprotected while protecting traitors. It has no qualms about using force against its own people, but it has great difficulty defending its borders,” he warned.

Thousands of travellers stranded after high-speed Madrid-Barcelona train was suspended due to fire
A fire on a train on Monday afternoon near the town of Ricla in Zaragoza province, disrupted high-speed AVE rail services between Madrid and Barcelona for more than four hours.
Thousands of passengers were left stranded either due to cancelled journeys or because they were on board one of the 14 Renfe trains that were in operation at the time, according to the railway company’s deputy director general, Sergio Bueno.
Renfe reported early Tuesday morning that, due to the incident on the Madrid-Barcelona line, “rail service may still be disrupted and cause delays in departures and arrivals of some trains”.
It recommends that travellers check the status of their train through its official channels and adds that “changes and cancellations are available free of charge”.
