Prince Harry may have quietly welcomed Princess Diana’s brother, Charles, Earl Spencer, to his Montecito mansion. The Earl has served as a steadfast ally and supporter to Harry, 41, during his ongoing rift with the Royal Family.

Among the collection was a photograph of Meghan relaxing on a sun lounger with the family’s beagle, Mia, believed to have been taken at the Sussexes’ California home.

Although the image focuses on Meghan, attention has since turned to two blurred figures standing in the background.

Royal watchers have speculated that one of the figures appears to be Earl Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s younger brother, while the other is thought to be his wife, Professor Cat Jarman, whom he married earlier this year.

Neither Harry nor Meghan has confirmed the identities of the pair. However, if the speculation is accurate, it would mark the first known visit by one of Harry’s relatives to the Sussexes’ Montecito property since they moved to California in 2020.

The apparent visit comes after Harry and Meghan were also photographed at Althorp House, Princess Diana’s childhood home in Northamptonshire.

One particularly touching image showed Archie and Lilibet, photographed from behind, carrying large bouquets believed to have been left at their grandmother’s grave, which sits on an island in Althorp’s Oval Lake.

The visit is thought to have been the first time the Sussexes’ children have travelled to the estate, while Meghan is understood to have only visited Althorp once before.

Charles Spencer has remained one of Harry’s closest relatives despite the Duke’s well-documented rift with several members of the Royal Family.

While Harry’s relationship with both King Charles and Prince William has remained strained in recent years, his bond with his maternal uncle has appeared to endure.

Reports last year even suggested Harry explored changing his surname from Mountbatten-Windsor to Spencer as a tribute to his late mother’s family, underlining the importance of that connection.
